Südzucker Polska S.A. is the youngest member of the Südzucker Group in Europe focused on sugar production. We have strong ties with Polish agriculture, as we process natural raw materials, sugar beets, and every day supply the food industry with high-quality “Cukier Królewski” products.
The first investment projects, which were the starting point of Südzucker’s operation in Poland, were conducted in the second half of the 1990s. At present, Südzucker Polska manages Polish sugar plants and is a dynamically developing member of Südzucker Group. The company coordinates operations of 5 sugar plants located in the most fertile regions of Silesia and south-eastern Poland. Building on mutual trust, we closely cooperate with regional sugar beet growers (8,400). During campaigns, they provide high quality raw materials to our sugar plants. We want to be a reliable partner for sugar beet growers who supply our basic raw material and we are eager to share our knowledge with them to develop the know-how together. By adjusting to changes resulting e.g. from sugar market regulation and in order to face up to competition, we aim to increase the average plantation area , root crop and sugar yield and continuously improve the quality of the raw material. Partnership with our business partners is definitely more than sales. We take care to offer exactly what customers need, even when it is non-standard. We can successfully tailor our products to the expectations of the most demanding clients. As a member of an international concern, we take advantage of the experience of our sister companies gained in other markets. This enables us to respond quickly and adjust to the dynamically changing conditions and needs of clients. From raw material to the final product – we support quality by skilful management. The efficiency of our actions is confirmed by received HACCP, ISO 9001 and IFS certificates.
From the beginning of our operation in Poland, investments were made in developing sugar plants and, first of all, in increasing productivity and efficiency of storage. In recent years, we put into service silos at Ropczyce and Cerekiew sugar factories with a capacity of 40,000 tonnes each. In 2007, a silo at Strzelin sugar factory was constructed witch a capacity of 50,000 t.
