S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A. has created kid-friendly places in 7 psychological counselling centres providing day-to-day assistance to children and 2 sports centres across 5 provinces. Creating those cosy nooks with colourful furniture and toys is another S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A. initiative for local communities and is in line with the company\u2019s mission and policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweet Valley is a specially designated section of a room where the youngest children can have fun. Colourful wallpaper, furniture with the proper height and toys create a friendly space where children can draw, do puzzles or play board games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there a need for such children\u2019s corners? Experts know it best. “At our counselling centre, diagnosis and therapy sessions may last from 1 to 3 hours. During diagnosis, we have breaks for kids to eat, relax and play. Sweet Valley is a perfect place for such breaks”, says Zofia Dylska, director of the psychological counselling centre in Ropczyce, where S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A. funded one of such corners. “Parents often arrive early and take several children with them. Thanks to such corners, their time in the counselling centre runs faster and is more enjoyable. Sweet Valley is a great initiative because space for children should be safe, attractive and colourful. Our small patients are delighted with their corner and sometimes it is hard to persuade them to go to the therapist\u2019s room”, continues Ms Dylska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative was launched as a result of suggestions from S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A. employees who noticed the need for this type of corners in establishments visited by children, where the equipment includes no more than \u2018adult\u2019 chairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Creating kid-friendly spaces in institutions taking care of children has recently become one of the priorities of our CSR activities. We know how important it is to have a carefree and peaceful childhood and we are happy to sponsor kid-related projects in regions connected with our company. We are already seeing considerable interest and we believe that children will be eager to use our kids\u2019 corners. And we will regularly provide toys so that they never run short of them”, says Beatrycze Grela, Marketing and PR Director at S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweet Valley is a project of nine kids\u2019 corners sponsored entirely by our company. The youngest can enjoy themselves in such corners in K\u0119dzierzyn-Ko\u017ale, Zakrz\u00f3w, Ropczyce, Hrubiesz\u00f3w, O\u0142awa, \u015awidnica, Wroc\u0142aw and Krak\u00f3w where S\u00fcdzucker Polska S.A. manufacturing facilities and offices are located.<\/p>\n\n\n
